Mindy Church (Jessica Collins) is a villainess reveal from the 1995 episodes "We Have a Lot to Talk About", and "Home is Where the Hurt is". These two episodes appeared in the TV series "Lois & Clark".
Mindy was the gorgeous nurse for Bill Church Sr. (Peter Boyle). The widowered Bill Church had fallen in love with her, and she apparently reciprocated by accepting his marriage proposal. She frequently used an airheaded persona in public. What she did not count on what that Bill Church Senior had had a change of heart after spending years in crime. he did not see Mindy as his trophy, but rather a serious wife. Bill announced plans to divest himself from Intergang and from now on only make clean money. For Mindy, this reduction to working-class squalor would mean the loss of her pampered lifestyle, as well as loss of power in controlling a mafia family, she conspired with her stepson Bill Junior, (Bruce Campbell) b.k.a. "Billy" to frame him.
Mindy eventually double-crossed Billy, where upon both Bill Churches (father and son), were arrested, convicted of unspecified major crimes and sent to prison. When Intergang's lieutenants met in a sit-down to discuss the future of the crime family, Mindy announced she was the new boss. When the Intergang men balked at this, Mindy murdered them by pumping poisonous gas into the meeting room.
She later attempted to kill Superman (Dean Cain) with a Kryptonian virus. In a Christmas episode, Mindy kept a low profile by working with Joey Bermuda aka "The Handyman" to poison Superman with a Krypton disease which they removed from the ship he arrived on earth in. Superman was later cured by Lois Lane's (Teri Hatcher) father, Dr. Sam Lane, who attempted a dangerous experiment using Kryptonite. Mindy got her accomplice arrested when he double crossed her and chose his family over her. She did this by making the authorities think that her office was his office. Mindy later decided to back off against Superman and keep a low profile.
