Meredith Cole (Angela Asher) was a villainess from the 2010 Lifetime film Ties That Bind. She was a lawyer and the head of a successful New York law firm, with Rachel Thomas acting as her assistant. She was first introduced being called to her office by the police, as Rachel had been assaulted and seemingly killed while working late.
But as revealed over the course of the film, Rachel had actually faked her death after uncovering a secret of Meredith's: she was bribing her friend, Judge Evelyn Rowe, to help her get her clients off. Prior to the film's events, Rachel discovered how Meredith was helping client Bobby Calderon with the legal case involving his father Santos, a notorious crime lord. Meredith sent Rachel to deliver the bribe, which Rachel opened to see was a rare and valuable Da Vinchi sketch; allowing her to uncover her boss's villainous deeds.
However, Evelyn never received the bribe (an extremely rare book) as a result of Rachel stealing it out of desperation to pay off her immense credit card debts and Santos was sentenced to life in prison, angering Bobby. Following Rachel's "murder", Meredith met with Bobby in an attempt to appease him with the promise of appealing his father's conviction. The evil Meredith also confronted Evelyn in a parking garage to convince her to make "new arrangements", only for her to refuse and imply that she was done taking bribes. Eventually, a vengeful Bobby decided to kill Meredith in revenge for letting his father be sent to prison, having one of his henchmen commit the murder. The henchman went about killing Meredith as she was getting out of her bath, bludgeoning her to death before taking her bath mat to stage her death as an accident.
