Megan Cooper (Lyndsy Fonseca) is the true main villainess from "Fallen Idols," episode 7.17 of CSI (airdate February 22, 2007). She is a high school cheerleader and the girlfriend of basketball player Ryan Lansco.
Megan was unaware that Ryan had dalliances with numerous other women, with Sheila Latham and teacher Diane Kentner being among Ryan's list of lovers. She would later learn the truth while they were in the school's equipment shed, as Sheila and Charlie Kellerman arrived and interrupted their tryst by tying up Ryan. While on camera, Ryan was forced to admit the truth: not only was he promiscuous, but he caught crabs due to it, with Megan and Sheila as carriers. Ryan's attempt to get the camera and the footage resulted in him throwing the camera at Sheila's head, causing her to swallow the memory card that was on her tongue. Later on, Megan charged at Ryan and pushed him towards a tackling dummy in a fit of rage, causing a sharp edge to slice his throat and kill him.
Unbeknownst to Megan, her murderous act was caught by Diane, who was obsessively stalking Ryan, and it led to Diane running over Megan at high speed, causing her to fly a long distance and fall over the road. She was found barely alive by Nick Stokes, though as a result of the hit and run, Megan was permanently paralyzed from the waist down. The villainess claimed to have amnesia and have no memory of the events before the accident, but in the episode's final scenes, Megan was revealed as a murderess when Nick showed her photographic evidence of Megan killing her boyfriend. Her attempt to feign memory loss after expressing outrage over Diane taking the photo failed, and in response to Nick, the evil Megan claimed that her paralysis was enough punishment for her after hypothetically stating that she killed Ryan. Regarding Megan's fate, Jim Brass revealed that no charges would be filed against her, mainly because getting a conviction would be difficult due to her injuries.
Quotes[]
- "If I did push Ryan, and he died, then that was wrong. Don't you think I've been punished enough?" (Megan Cooper's callous rationale after confessing to killing Ryan Lansco)
