McKenna Grant (Clea DuVall) is the main villainess from "The Bones on the Blue Line," episode 5.15 of Bones (airdate April 1, 2010). She is a subway security officer who was on the call when a water main break derailed a train, killing a young cancer survivor who Lance Sweets was sitting next to, and also uncovering the body of Martin Aragon, who was killed a week prior.
McKenna was in a relationship with pawn shop owner Eddie Ceraficki; having met when she arrested Eddie for possessing a gun. The couple split up, but Eddie gave McKenna the gun he was busted for possessing as a romantic gesture. Shortly before breaking up with Eddie, McKenna received love letters from Colin Casey, the subway station's manager, which led to McKenna going out on a pair of dates with Colin. Eddie's anger led to McKenna breaking up with him, but she would later discover that Colin didn't write the letters; he had Martin (a professional letter writer, who was vision-impaired) compose them for him.
Angered over what she believed was deception on Martin's part, McKenna blamed Martin for ruining her love life. She later lured Martin to the subway on the aforementioned week prior to the accident, and once there, the evil McKenna shot Martin in his head, using the gun Eddie gave her to kill him. McKenna's reveal came in the Conference Room, where Seeley Booth stated that he had the murder weapon, with Dr. Temperance Brennan wondering why she would keep it. McKenna arrogantly stated that they had no evidence to tie her to Martin's murder, but it was revealed that a piece of leather was found at the scene, and McKenna was asked to remove her shoes to see if the leather matched. The villainess broke down and confessed, stating that Eddie was a good guy and that the letters she received were a lie, while also saying that she should have been happy with what she had. McKenna was later arrested (off-screen) for killing Martin.
