Matilda West (Ashley Noel) is the main villainess from "Bad Science", episode 2.06 of Femme Fatales (airdate June 29, 2012). She is the evil doppelganger of the episode's main protagonist, scientist Matilda West (also played by Noel).
Introduction[]
Matilda West was transported to an alternate dimension during her latest experiment regarding teleportation; an experiment performed with the help of her fiancée, Nick, her former flame (and Nick's brother), Aaron, and Aaron's girlfriend, Abby. She materialized completely naked and was quickly captured by two masked soldiers who mistook her for a suicide bomber before a body scan read negative. They then seemed to recognize her and call her by name, and gave her a blanket to cover herself. The alternate world is ravaged by war, pollution, and death, and it was there that Matilda met her doppelgänger, Colonel Matilda West, the leader of the First Continental Alliance Army. The colonel accused Matilda of being a clone and a spy, but both of them ended up transported together with one touch. They materialized back in Matilda's laboratory completely naked. Disoriented and angry, the colonel tried to strangle Matilda until the others sedated her.
With both of them back in the regular world, Matilda decided to display Colonel West as proof that her experiment works on living organisms. While she made her preparations, the others gave Colonel West clothes and strapped her to a wheelchair because she was violent. Aaron decided to wheel her outside and show her the world. Colonel West took a look at Matilda's world and was amazed of how beautiful it looked compared to her world, all the while making a friendly impression on Aaron and Abby – both of whom disliked the real Matilda, eventually convincing them to release her. She engaged in a romantic encounter with Aaron and later conversed with Abby, but shortly afterwards, both Matildas began to weaken and lose consciousness, and it was Nick who concluded that their conditions were due to them being on the same world, meaning that Colonel West had to return to her own alternate reality.
Heel Turn[]
Before the process took place, Aaron spotted Abby attempting to switch the Matildas so the real one could go and the colonel could remain, and he switched them back. However, Abby revealed to Aaron that while she was considering switching the Matildas, she didn't go through with it. This meant that the real Matilda went to the alternate world, while her evil doppelgänger remained, and Nick realized this after making love with who he thought was Matilda – when his lover stated that she didn't want to be in charge anymore.
Knowing Matilda's true nature, Nick was shocked to realize that he was with Colonel West, and she killed Nick, as well as Abby and Aaron. The villainess gave an evil laugh as she walked out of the lab with plans to take over her new dimension.
As for the real Matilda, she awakened completely naked and was confused at being back in the alternate dimension. Upon being approached by the two soldiers who had captured her on her first visit, they mistakenly identified her as Colonel West, asking her about what happened to the prisoner she had in custody. They revealed their faces as being alternate versions of Nick and Aaron. The horror that she was sent back in place of her evil doppelgänger sunk in, causing her to let out a scream.
