Mary "Jack" Armstrong (Karen Steele; 1931-1988) is the main villainess from "Survival of the Fattest," episode 1.15 of Get Smart (airdate December 25, 1965). She is an evil KAOS agent; considered to be the strongest female enemy agent in the world. She is the leader of a triumvirate of female agents who kidnapped Prince Sully early in the episode. Prince Sully's nation's wealth is dependent on his girth, as he was attempting to gain 35 pounds to reach the 300 pound mark.
Mary's evil plan was to reduce the Prince and destroy the country's economy. Maxwell Smart encountered Mary when she appeared as a chambermaid, right before she nabbed the Prince, and after learning the truth about her, he attempted to get some truth about the Prince's whereabouts from her, with the use of truth serum, which he placed in a glass of wine. Unfortunately for Max, he ended up engaging in a round of glass switching, and drank the serum as a result, forcing him to reveal his identity and fall prey to the villainess.
Later on, the evil Mary brought Max to her gym, where she and her henchwomen, Carla & Rhonda, had the Prince on a reducing machine, while Max is held captive. She ordered her henchwomen to release Max, who was then instructed to phone Control and give false info on his whereabouts. Knowing Max, The Chief instructed him to turn on his tracking device, which Max does. He later attempts to talk Rhonda into helping him escape, only for Rhonda to inform Mary. Mary ordered Carla and Rhonda to lock Max in the steam room, only for the henchwomen to be pushed in by Max, who battles Mary and does the same to her. Mary and the girls break out, and the trio attempted to toss Max out the window, only for Control to enter and stop them. Mary was taken into custody, but not before it was revealed that she and The Chief were close friends before she joined KAOS.
