Maria was a villainess from the 1994 film Guardian Angel (alternately titled Beyond Justice). Maria was not credited in the film, so it is not known who played the lovely assassin maid. Maria was a maid for wealthy playboy Lawton Hobbs, who enlisted the services of bodyguard Christine McKay (the film's main protagonist) to protect him from his ex-girlfriend Nina Lindell, who had just escaped from prison for counterfeiting and murder.
Unbeknownst to Lawton, however, Maria had been hired by Nina sometime during their relationship, and she also served as a henchwoman in Nina's plan to kill Lawton and Christine. Maria made an attempt to kill Christine by adding poison to her tea, but was caught when Lawton's butler Clayton saw pills on the kitchen floor after Maria left the kitchen with Christine's tea.
Just as Christine was prepared to drink the tea, Lawton and Clayton came in and the former stopped her, asking Maria to test the tea first. When Christine questioned what was happening, Lawton revealed Maria as a hidden mole for Nina, to which the evil Maria pulled out a gun in an attempt to shoot Lawton. Before she could fire, however, Christine fought back and kicked her over the nearby balcony, sending the henchwoman falling to her death.
