Margot Furlong (Hannah Emily Anderson) is a villainess from "Retribution", episode 4.09 of Republic of Doyle (airdate March 31, 2013). She was the sole female member of a group of three people enlisted by Maurice Becker to kidnap Jake Doyle. Becker's motive for the plot was Jake's latest assignment in providing a security detail to diamonds belonging to custom jeweler John Manning, wanting the three to retrieve the authenticator needed to access the diamonds.
Margot's cohorts consisted respectively of her boyfriend and ex-boyfriend, Elliot Hughes and Wallace Thompson, with the three knocking out and abducting Jake on his way to Manning's, later tying him up in an abandoned building. The gang also wore masks during the abduction, with Margot's being a masquerade eye mask. Wallace, however, went against their original plans by attempting to set Jake on fire to keep him from identifying them, much to Margot's annoyance. Jake ultimately escaped the fire in time, and later worked to find out the identities of his three kidnappers, even as both Elliot and Wallace were killed and corrupt Constable Monica Hayward exploited the situation in an attempt to discredit Jake (having developed a vendetta against him).
But as revealed later in the episode, Hughes' murder was actually staged, as he and Margot had stolen a body from the Health Science center and dressed it in Hughes' clothes to throw the investigators off their trail. It was also revealed that she and Hughes had been behind Wallace's death, having planted an explosive on his car. As Jake and Malachy Doyle realized that Margot and Elliot were after the diamonds, the villainous couple used the authenticator to enter Manning's studio as Des Courtney and Rose Doyle were there to watch over the diamonds. Margot then retrieved the diamonds as Elliot held Des and Rose at gunpoint, with Margot striking Rose with the box of diamonds when she tried to get her phone before fleeing with Elliot. Jake, Malachy, and Rose eventually tracked Margot and Elliot to a garage where they had their getaway vehicle ready, with Rose knocking Margot out as she attempted to flee with the diamonds. After additionally subduing Hughes, he and Margot were placed under arrest.
