Maia Simmons (Eiza Gonzalez) is an antagonist in the 2021 sci-fi film "Godzilla vs Kong".
Maia is an executive at Apex Cybernetics and daughter of the CEO Walter Simmons (Demian Bichir).
Maia is very prideful and arrogant, as the story unfolds she's revealed to also be cowardly and self-centered. The only thing she cares about other than herself is her father and her company. Maia was sent by her father to deliver the H.E.A.V. transports to the expedition and to watch over the venture and ensure its success. However, her real mission was to infiltrate the team as they travel with King Kong to Hollow Earth and swipe samples of the energy source.
Throughout the adventure she shows that she cares very little about anyone else involved in the mission. When Godzilla attacks the ship carrying Kong and the team, Maia panics and demands they sacrifice Kong by dropping him off the ship. Later, when the team objected to her taking a sample of the Hollow Earth energy source, she ordered her men to shoot the team. When the Hell Hawks begin attacking, she hustles onboard the transport and leaves the rest of the expedition to fend for themselves. She suffers a karmic coward's death when Kong gets in the way of her escape path and she orders her pilot to fire on him. Kong becomes enraged, grabs her transport in flight and crushes it causing the vehicle to explode, killing Maia and everyone else inside the vehicle.
