Louisa D'Angelo (Kathrine Narducci) is a villainess from "Mayhem," episode 4.17 of Law & Order (airdate March 9, 1994). She is the wife of Bruno D'Angelo.
Detectives Mike Green and Lennie Briscoe ended up at the D'Angelo home after Bruno was seen yelling from the window. Upon arriving, they rushed to the bedroom and past an angry Louisa, only to see Bruno bleeding and stating that "she cut it off". As it turned out, Louisa had found out about Bruno cheating on her, and in a rage, the villainess castrated Bruno. After Briscoe and Green left the bedroom, the evil Louisa snarled at the detectives and voiced her extreme anger at Bruno for his affair, while remorselessly admitting to mutilating her husband.
Louisa was arrested for her actions, while Bruno was carried out on a stretcher and hospitalized. Anita Van Buren later revealed that Bruno went into cardiac arrest and died, which resulted in Louisa being charged in her husband's death. Louisa's lawyer, Mildred Kaskel, attempted to use the "battered wife defense," under the claim that Louisa was raped by her husband, despite no claims ever being filed. Bruno's murder was one of many featured in the episode, and in court, Louisa counteracted Kaskel's not guilty plea and decided to plead guilty to manslaughter; admitting to killing Bruno. After the plea and her bail being set at $200,000, Kaskel agreed to a plea deal that would lead to Louisa being sentenced to 4-12 years in prison for aggravated assault manslaughter and also for assaulting an officer of the law.
