Liza Mueller (Tracy Perez) is a callous secret agent in the 2022 action film Section 8. She is a part of the titular team of undercover operatives who complete unsavory missions for the United States government.
Mueller and her cohorts, led by Sam Ramsey, recruit former soldier Jake Atherton to their cause after he is put in jail for killing the man who broke into his home and killed his wife and child. Atherton is put on probation, with Mueller assigned to keep a close eye on him to ensure that he lives up to the high standard necessary for Section 8 agents.
During his time on the team, Mueller proves to be one of the few agents with whom Atherton can get along. The two form a cautious friendship, which sours after Atherton hesitates before assassinating a target. Ramsey immediately expels Atherton from the team and orders his remaining operatives to find and kill him, including Mueller.
After avoiding his former teammates for some time, Atherton is confronted by Ajax Abernathy, one of the more murderous members of Section 8. Just as it seems Ajax is about to kill Atherton, Mueller appears and shoots Ajax dead. She offers to help Atherton, bringing him to Montana in an effort to kill Ramsey. However, it is revealed that she had been in league with Ramsey all along and had even been complicit in the murder of Atherton's wife and son.
Atherton eventually breaks free after being captured and attacks Ramsey and Mueller, who are counting the money they had received for their most recent job. Mueller is shot and injured during his attack, with Ramsey leaving her behind in retreat. She confronts Atherton, drawing a gun on him and, though she promises that she would never hurt him, she pulls the trigger, only to find that she is out of ammunition. For a moment, Mueller feigns helplessness, waiting until Atherton comes close to attack him. The two fight for a while before Mueller pulls out a knife. She attempts to stab Atherton, but he eventually turns the knife on her, plunging it through her chin and into her mouth. Mueller cries out in shock and pain before keeling over, dead.
