Lila Johnson and Beatrice Scott are the primary antagonists of "The Pit", the third story contained within the 1955 comic book "The Vault of Horror #40". An adaptation of this story was made for HBO's "Tales from the Crypt" television series, featuring villainesses Aubrey Scott and Andrea Johnson.

Felix Johnson runs a cock-fighting ring and is repulsed for having done so. It brings in so much money, however, that his wife Lila forbids him from putting a stop to it. A similar situation befalls Aaron Scott, who runs a dogfighting ring, and his wife Beatrice. Lila and Beatrice cannot stand each other and are hyper-competitive to see that the underground business of the other's husband fails. Lila demands that Felix bring in more cocks and attach blades to their talons in order to bring in bigger crowds, while Beatrice fiercely pushes for cats to be thrown in with the dogs to drive up attendance.

Before long, the weight of the cruelty becomes too great for Felix and Aaron to bear, and the two husbands mutually agree to do something about it. The story ends with Lila and Beatrice, filled with hatred, fighting each other to the death inside of Aaron's arena, until they bite and tear each other to shreds.
