Liane Heatley (Katharine Isabelle) is the main villainess from Motive's third episode, "Pushover" (airdate February 17, 2013). She is a waitress at a local diner, which was frequented by customs officer Ben Hayward.
Liane is also the lover of limo driver Scott Crewson, and the pair concocted a scheme to steal $2 million worth of drugs. The plan had Liane seduce Ben into stealing the drugs for her, with her deception including opening up to Ben regarding her dreams to open a flower shop. Ben is quickly taken in by Liane, and commits the deed for her, but when he sees Scott and is told by him that she had manipulated him, Ben ended up shooting and killing Scott.
Following the murder, Ben and Liane made plans to escape, only for the former to plan to set up the latter at customs. Liane's bag was opened by Ben's co-workers, and it had the stolen drugs in it, as Ben had planned to set her up as payback. After being detained, Liane attempted to manipulate Detective Lucas into believing that she was an unlucky victim who had bad luck when it came to men, but Angie Flynn saw through Liane's act. Following this, the evil Liane stated that she wanted to make a deal, and she was later arrested (off-screen).
