Lacey Duvall (Joann Richter) was a villainess from "Table Stakes", episode 1.15 of CSI (airdate February 22, 2001). She was a showgirl who was found strangled to death in the swimming pool of legendary former showgirl Portia Richmond, during a party held by her house sitting friends Patrick and Amanda Haynes.
The course of the investigation revealed that Lacey was in a relationship with Patrick, whose real name was revealed to be Chad Matthews, a man on the run due to being behind the rape and murder of a Texas cheerleader. During an interrogation, Catherine Willows revealed that a music box belonging to Portia was found in Lacey's dressing room, with Patrick/Chad denying giving it to her and insinuating that she might've stolen it (though it is left unclear whether this is truthful).
In addition to having had sex with Patrick/Chad before the party, it was revealed that Lacey had been told by her lover about his and Amanda's true identities, though the full extent of her knowledge of her lover's crimes is left ambiguous. During the party, Lacey confronted Amanda and proclaimed that Chad loved her and was done pretending to be in love with Amanda; presumably unaware that Amanda was Chad's sister rather than his wife. When Amanda protested Lacey's declaration, the evil Lacey revealed her knowledge of Chad's true identity and showed off the ring with Chad's initials that he gave her, boasting that Chad intended to abandon Amanda and have Lacey replace her as his partner in crime. In a fit of rage, Amanda strangled Lacey to death before throwing her body in the pool.
Quotes[]
- "He told me he loves me. No more faking love. No more acts. (Amanda: "Is that what he told you? That it's an act? It's as real as it gets.") Patrick says you're small-time. You just don't have the stones to go big. (Amanda: "You don't know Patrick.") You mean Chad. He gave me this. You know what's next. It's my turn." (Lacey's boastful statement to Amanda, which ultimately lead to her murder)
