Kelly Meadows (Sophie Holden) is a villainess from "God's Waiting Room," episode 4.02 of New Tricks (airdate 16 April 2007). She is the daughter of Colin Meadows, who runs a nursing home that housed (among other tenants) Maggie Newley and Grace Pullman--the latter being DSI Sandra Pullman's mother.
Jack Halford spotted Kelly arguing with Colin during his investigation into Maggie's death, and the episode's progression revealed that they were father and daughter. As also revealed, Kelly was a drug addicted junkie who also worked as a prostitute, and she approached her father and ordered him to steal the home's medication for her, threatening to continue hooking if he didn't. Colin acquiesced, mainly to keep Kelly from her side profession, but also because it was the only time that Kelly showed affection for him.
Among the stolen drugs she took was Maggie's dose of Tramadol, and a plethora of jewelry was stolen by the duo as well. After learning about Kelly, Brian Lane and Gerry Standing tracked the villainess to a corner she was working, leading to the evil Kelly being chased by Brian on his bicycle. Her capture was accidental, coming when Brian fell from his bike and landed on her, which led to Kelly wanting Brian charged after she was taken into custody. Both Kelly and Colin were suspected in Maggie's murder due to their thievery, but it was Kelly fondly commenting on the strength of Maggie's medication that led to the reveal of the true killer. Kelly did end up arrested (off-screen) for her role in the thefts.
