Julie Ames (Gia Carides) is the evil mistress in the 1995 film, "Bad Company".
Julie is a shapely brunette and the mistress of Judge Justin Beach (David Ogden Stiers). The Judge accepts a $1 million dollar bribe from Nelson Crowe (Laurence Fishburne). Beach then bought a ticket for a flight to the Caribbean and sent Julie ahead of him with the money, telling her he intended to leave his wife and join her there. However, Beach then reneged on his agreement against Curl Industries and committed suicide.
When Julie found out that Beach committed suicide, she traveled to Europe and sent Les Goodwin (Daniel Hugh Kelly) postcards telling him how much she was enjoying spending the money. Goodwin then sold this information to Crowe, who in turn told Margaret Wells (Ellen Barkin). Wells ordered Crowe to find and kill Julie because of her knowledge of the bribe attempt.
Julie then purchased a gun from Goodwin and went to Crowe's apartment to kill him in revenge for Beach's death. She arrived shortly after Wells, who also came to kill Crowe. In a chaotic shootout, Julie blindly fired at both as Crowe and Wells shot each other dead.
Julie somehow remained unharmed. She then meticulously picked up her shell casings, found Crowe's briefcase containing incriminating evidence, including the tape of his conversations with Smitty Smithfield (Michael Murphy), and a receipt she and Beach signed. After burning the receipt, Julie mailed the tape to the U.S. Attorney's office to expose the corrupt dealings of both the CIA and Vic Grimes' (Frank Langella) company known as "The Toolshed".
Julie left town for good, alone, which was the end of the movie.
