Julie seeing David with Sofia
Julianna Gianni (Cameron Diaz) often called by her nickname Julie is the main antagonist of the sci-fi thriller 2001 film Vanilla Sky.
Julie is a singer and actress from New York who seems to be a sweet young woman who is deeply in love with the films main character David Ames who is a highly successful man. At some point she became his fuck-buddy and knowing it, but deny it to herself. When David falls in love with the young Latina woman Sofia Serrano Julie starts to stalk him.
When David spends the night at Sofias place Julie followed them there and spent the entire night outside wating for David to exit from the building. When David left the apartment early in the morning Julie chose to pull up and put a guilt-trip on him so he would get into her car. During the car ride she showed how upset she was over Sofia and said she loved David and felt herself used. Crazy of jealousy and heartbroken she decide to kill both David and herself by crashing her car on purpose to take revenge on David and for to put an end to her own suffering that David not love her. David try to stop it by saying he loves her, but Julie just presses her foot at the gas pedal even harder knowing David not means what he says and prepares to die with him. David tries to stop Julie from crash the car, but the car drives over the edge of a bridge and crashes. Julie succed to commit suicide, but David survive and gets horrible disfigured in the face after the crash.
