Jody Campbell (Stacy Hogue) is the main villainess from "The Soldier on the Grave," the penultimate episode of Bones' first season (airdate May 10, 2006). She is a private in the National Guard and a military doctor.

Jody served with deceased soldiers Charlie Kent and Devon Marshall, and she was the driver during a mission in Iraq where a group of soldiers were gunning down insurgents--a mission she mentioned during her interview with Seeley Booth. The episode's progression revealed that the "insurgents" were actually a family of Muslim citizens killed by error by Kent, but to cover it up, his superior, Captain William Fuller, planted weapons on the deceased to make it appear that they were insurgents, after which Kent was killed by friendly fire.

After the reveal, Fuller was confronted and arrested by an angry Booth, but it turned out that he was not Marshall's killer, Jody was. Marshall had planned to come forward with the truth about the mission, and in order to protect herself, the evil Jody injected a lethal dose of Demerol into Marshall's neck and ear, killing him instantly. The villainess burned Marshall's body and placed him on Kent's grave, making it appear that he was just another protester, but it was the discovery of the Demerol that revealed Jody as Marshall's killer, as only someone with access to medical supplies could have committed the murder. Jody expressed a lack of shock when she saw Booth and Dr. Temperance Brennan in her office, after which she explained that she killed Marshall to prevent him from revealing the truth before her off-screen arrest.
