The evil Joan Starrett

Joan Starrett (Sadie Katz) was a hidden villainess from the 2018 horror-comedy, Bus Party to Hell. She has an enigmatic, solemn, reserved, morose, grim, eerily calm, collected, strange, perverted, unstable, very manipulative, and extremely intellectual personality. Like all the members of her cult, she is cruel, chaotic, ritualistic, remorseless, dangerous, and very sadistic.

Joan was introduced early in the film as the driver of a party bus heading to a Burning Man concert, as she was shown inviting main protagonist Lara Swit inside for free. Hints of Joan's true evil personality were shown when she sped up and ran over Darby, after she spotted Darby yelling for help. As shown in the film's opening scenes, Darby had encountered demons and killed of them before spotting the bus, and the revealed reason why Joan ran over and killed Darby was to stop her, as she was part of a Satanic cult.

Many of the passengers were attacked and killed by a motley group of cult members, while Joan disappeared. The group's search for Joan uncovered the body of the actual bus driver, revealing that Joan killed her and took her place in order to lure the passengers to the cult. Joan later resurfaced and established herself as a villainess by admitting to being a member, as they were looking for "The Chosen One." The villainess stated that The Chosen One was among the passengers, as well as a virgin, and after all of the remaining survivors confirmed that they weren't virgins, only Lara was left. Though Lara engaged in a tryst with Ivy, Joan stated that Lara was still a virgin in the biblical sense, as no man had ever laid with her.

The group stripped Joan nude in their search for the key, but when it wasn't found, the group came to the conclusion that Joan had swallowed it. The search also uncovered Joan's tattoos that were part of her allegiance, and she expressed sexual sadism over a plan to literally search inside her body. After the lights were shut off, Joan attacked and bit off a part of Alan Armstrong's neck, resulting in Alan killing the deranged villainess by shooting her in the head.
