Janice is the secondary antagonist in the 4th Season of Mr. Robot. She serves as a taxidermist/torture expert who is Dom's handler after the previous mole Santiago is killed.
History[]
Janice is first introduced as a blind date for Dom, whom her mother met at the church and invited over for dinner. After the dinner, Janice privately revealed herself to be a Dark Army agent to Dom, threatening to kill her mother by disemboweling her if Dom doesn't go along with her plan. She instructs Dom to lie about Santiago's disappearance to the FBI interviewing her about it and pin the blame on a South American drug cartel. When Dom tells her that she is "99%" sure her superior believes her cover story, Janice then has the superior killed by throwing him off a building and painting it as "suicide".
On Christmas Day, Janice then instructs Dom to clean up evidence of the burnt white van in the woods and use the red light traffic camera to find out who's responsible for it, revealed to be Elliot and Darlene. Dom is then sent to Angela's apartment where she is instructed to kill Darlene just because she is useless and possibly use her death to punish Elliot. However, Dom can't do it so she asks Darlene to kill her instead. Janice enters just in time to find Darlene alive and decides to kill her herself instead, before Darlene reveals that she can't kill her because she wiped her phone.
Later that night, Janice then ties Dom and Darlene up and spent hours telling them about the podcast she heard about the creation of buildings. She reveals that she knows about Dom pleasuring herself to Darlene's interrogation videos and later removes her tools which she plans on using on the two. She chooses a skinning knife and proceeds to stab Dom with it, using it to force Darlene into exposing Elliot's location and give him up or Dom dies.
Then, Janice tells Darlene about how she got away with being a psychopath at a young age and proceeds to call the soldiers at Dom's family house to kill her family, which causes Darlene to give up Elliot's location, even if it will result in her death. Later, they find out Elliot is not at the location they put on the phone, so then Janice proceeds to call a hit on Dom's family, but it's revealed that the soldiers were killed by Deegan Macguire and his men and saved the Dom's family. Dom then frees herself using the knife Janice stabbed her with and shoots Janice and her men dead.
