The greedy Honey Hunsecker
Honey Hunsecker (Jennifer Hale) is the hidden villainess of "Safari, So Goodi!", episode 1.08 of What's New, Scooby Doo? (airdate November 23, 2002). She was the wife of Henry Hunsecker and the two were attending the same Safari tour as the Scooby Doo gang. Honey and Henry revealed that it had been their fourth time visiting the safari and, throughout the episode, put on the persona of a loving couple.
During the episode, the Scooby gang began investigating the recent disappearance of several animals from the safari, with the case becoming personal when Scooby disappeared along with Jacko, the pet monkey of tour guide Lloyd Mbuku. After being attacked several times by what was rumored to be "jungle demons", the gang came across a mysterious ship on the side of the Safari river. Despite Honey and Henry's reluctance, the group went aboard to investigate.
Inside, the gang found Scooby and Jacko, along with several other missing animals. At that moment, Daphne deduced that Honey and Henry were the ones responsible for the disappearances, causing the villainous couple to flee. They were quickly stopped, however, when the animals they had captured lept off the boat and blocked their path and were arrested by Mbuku (who turned out to be an undercover police officer investigating the animal disappearances).
Velma explained how Henry and Honey had been using broadcasting equipment on the boat to immit a sound only heard by animals to hypnotize and lure them to the ship, with a transmitter being hidden in Henry's shoulder. They covered the sound with flute music and painted their hypnotized animals with glowing makeup as a way to use the jungle myth to scare away tourists and cover up their crime. As for a motive, Henry and Honey denied harming the animals, with Honey revealing that they had planned to sell them in the United States as exotic pets. Honey and Henry were then taken away by Mbuku, with the couple getting into an argument as they were taken away.
