Holly Parker is the main antagonist of the 2001 Chick Tract The Nervous Witch, and the supporting antagonist of the 2002 Chick Tract Gladys. She is a witch that was inspired to practice magic from the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling.
The Nervous Witch[]
Holly was a witch who was best friends with the protagonist of the tract, Samantha. After reading the Harry Potter book series, she decided to become a real witch and began practicing different types of witchcraft. When Samantha heard that her uncle, Reverend Bob Williams was coming to visit, she and Holly set out to put a love spell on him before he came to her house. While trying to cast the dark spell, Reverned Bob came. They then covered up the pentagram that was marked on Samantha's floor with a rug.
Samantha's mother proudly proclaimed the news to Samantha that she was now a Chritstian, which shocks both Samantha and Holly. Bob then noticed that Holly and Samantha had a spirit guide and asks if he can tell them a Bible story. The two girls initially refused at first as they didn't believe The Bible, but they felt like they weren't scared of anything, and they allowed him to tell the story. The story was about King Saul asking the Witch of Endor to conjure up the soul of Samuel so that he could talk to him after God ignored him. When Samuel's soul is conjured up, and he tells Saul that he'll die in a war with the Philistines tomorrow. He and his sons died the next day and later the witch died and went to hell. He then tries to explain to Holly and Samantha to abandon witchcraft as it is against God, or they won't go to Heaven. Holly angrily refuses and curses Bob, whereas Samantha repents, becomes a Christian, and destorys her occult belongings. Bob tried to convince Holly to take back her curse as it will backfire and could not hurt him. She refuses to take her curse back and leaves Samantha's home with her spirit guide as Bob says he'll pray/bless her.
Gladys[]
Holly's next appearance was in the sequel comic Gladys, where an elderly woman named Gladys Glump was an astrologer about to air her own astrology show. She went to stay with her niece because she was going to be the guest speaker for an astrology convention. She had a spirit guide named George, a demon who aided her in Divination. Bob visited her niece that night and when Gladys told him she can tell the future he tries to explain that Divination/Astrology is an extension of the occult and is evil. George convinces Gladys to reject what Bob was telling her. She then angrily leaves his house, and asks Holly for a ride to a hotel. When she sees Bob again, Holly tells Gladys about how much she hates him. When they were talking about how much they hated Bob, Holly accidentally hit a gas truck and her car exploded, killing them both.
Holly and Gladys then arrived in Hell where Holly demanded to see her master, Lucifer. On Judgement Day, both she and Gladys were sent to the Lake of Fire for practicing magic to be punished for all eternity.
