Heather Matthews (Laura Breckenridge) is the main villainess from "Love Taps," episode 6.09 of Rizzoli & Isles (airdate August 11, 2015). She is the wife of Rick Matthews, but due to feeling neglected by Rick, Heather began an online affair with Donovan, the virtual boyfriend created by Stuart Crane.
Heather was one of 32 women who responded to the app and participated in the flirting, but Heather took things seriously and sent numerous texts to Stuart. It later became an obsession, as Heather began stalking Stuart after getting his information from Evan Ballard, and she followed him to a hiking trail. Heather professed her love for Stuart, but when Stuart didn't reciprocate, she went into a rage and attacked him. Her attack sent Stuart hanging over a cliff and pleading with Heather to help him, only for the crazed villainess to stomp on Stuart's hands and send him falling to his death.
Heather's affair was revealed when Jane Rizzoli and Vince Korsak interviewed Rick, as he sent threats to "Donovan" to stay away from his wife. However, Heather's villainous online history was uncovered, as her social media accounts had been closed due to inappropriate conduct. When Korsak revealed that Heather paid for Stuart's info, he went with Jane and Frankie to the Matthews home to confront her. However, the evil Heather began her process of killing Rick, as Rick was going to leave her. She was spotted pouring gasoline on Rick (who was tied up), and when the trio entered, Heather revealed her love for Stuart and her anger over being rejected, stating that no one leaves her. She tossed an ignited lighter towards Rick, but it was caught by Korsak, and afterwards, Heather was handcuffed and arrested.
