Ginnie Morell (Jenny Wright) is one of the main villainesses from "The Marriage Counselor," episode 6.05 of Matlock (airdate November 8, 1991). She was one of a list of patients for noted marriage counselor Harding Fletcher.
Ginnie was shown with her husband, Joe, participating in a session with Fletcher; referring to Joe as boring. It was later revealed that Ginnie was actually having an affair with Fletcher, as were two of his other patients: Claudette Hertz and Laura Corning. Later on, the evil Ginnie colluded with Claudette and Laura to kill Fletcher, as he had documentation of their affairs and they wanted to keep their adulterous actions a secret. The trio shot Fletcher to death in his office, with each woman firing a single gunshot; after which they took the safe that had Fletcher's journals inside, and later took the documents while leaving the safe in Claudette's possession.
Ginnie's alibi had her (along with Laura and Claudette) at the Wives Only seminar, but it was revealed to be an alibi that Laura cooked up to cover for herself and her cohorts. Ben Matlock revealed the entire scheme while cross-examining Claudette, leaving Laura and Ginnie only to watch as their plan was falling apart. Claudette's off-screen confession to the group's actions led to Ginnie being arrested (off-screen), along with her cohorts, for Fletcher's murder.
