Flame (Kirsten Hartwig) is a henchwoman in the 1997 fantasy film Prince Valiant. The evil Flame first appears in the film as a Saxon henchwoman for Sligon the Usurper (Udo Kier) and Morgan Le Fey (Joanna Lumley) at the castle Thule.
Sligon is later killed by Thagnar, and Thagnar uses Flame to kidnap Princess Ilene (Katherine Heigl). Flame is dressed in a leather bustier, bikini bottom, leather gloves, and mail stockings held up by a garter belt. Her blonde hair is unkept in dredds, and she carries a staff that has a flame coming out of a coiled point.
After Morgan Le Fey falls into the boiling cauldron, Flame is then strictly serving Thagnar and his warriors. In a final fight at the castle, Flame is reaching for a wooden handle to release a caldron of boiling hot liquid metal upon some unsuspecting warriors led by Prince Valiant (Stephen Moyer). Princess Ilene sees this and throws a spear at Flame, which knocks her hand away and drops her to the ground. At the same time, her flaming staff drops to the ground and the boiling caldron spills on top of her. All that Flame can do is scream in horror and raise her hands as the boiling liquid engulfs her from her legs and up through the rest of her body. We soon see a satisfied look over the face of Princess Ilene, as she has successfully destroyed the henchbabe. Our last look at Flame is of a petrified statue of the henchwoman, as she lies on the ground, preserved in a state of disbelief.
