For centuries, the two kingdoms of Dragon and Phoenix have been at war. Nearly 300 years ago, the evil witch Firella, a terrible woman with great dark powers, including these to control animals, had arrived in their lands and caused the war through her scheming. Firella has been then defeated in a duel and imprisoned in stone by the magic of the Phoenix Kingdom's archmage Brashire. However he failed to kill her, as only true love could destroy her completely. Brashire's prophecy states that if the two kingdoms are still at war when she revives, she will rule the world forever. Now his spell is about to wear off soon, but the same prophecy also states that if the two kingdoms are finally joined in peace through true love before then, the witch's power that protects her will be broken and she will die. |
