Calliope (Hannah Levien) was the villainess of the Supernatural episode, Fan Fiction. She is a Greek goddess who acts as a muse for directors and producers to inspire creativity, only to devour them after they complete their works of art. In the episode, Calliope hijacks a school play called Supernatural (a tribute to the lives of Dean and Sam, the main characters of the show), and captures a student and the school's drama teacher in the basement. When Sam finds them all there, Calliope menacingly gloats about how many artists she's consumed. After deviously suggesting that she kill both Dean and Sam, she goes on to explain why this play was particularly attractive to her, which gives the student and drama teacher enough time to devise a plan. The student smacks Calliope in the back of the head with a book, while the teacher kicks a wooden stake over to Sam, who stabs her with the stake before she has a chance to recover. Her eyes begin to glow, and after a brief pause she lets out a scream as her body bursts, sending a shower of purple goo all over everyone in the room.
