Rachel is a villainess in the 1985 action film Savage Dawn. She is portrayed by the late Karen Black.
Rachel is a woman who lived in a small desert town in Texas called Agua Dulce. She worked at a bar as a waitress called the "Tomkat". She is a woman who deep down is mean, hits on certain men, some men, like Deputy Joe Bob and his midget friend Virgil, but brushes them off. At the Tomkat, they are having a contest, a fight to see who is the toughest one around. Deputy Joe Bob is the main contestant. Whoever beats him wins $500.
Later on in the evening at the Tomkat, she would see Tick Rand with his friend Ben Stryker. Tick's daughter Katie would join them and Rachel and her don't like each other. Rachel is somewhat attracted to Stryker. The contest is going on and a roar of motorcycles and a gang known as the "Savages" come into the bar and their leader, Pigiron, who has one of his gang named Zero fight Deputy Joe Bob. Rachel becomes attracted to Pigiron. Some of the people go out to watch the fight. Rachel flirts with Pigiron and he likes her. He asks her what she is doing here, she replies "stuck". In the fight, Deputy Joe Bob is winning, Pigiron walks up and punches Joe Bob out. Pigiron tells Rachel "The Savages never lose". Rachel awards Zero with the money, but the bar owner takes the money away cause of Pigiron's interference. The sheriff arrives and Joe Bob has a shotgun and forces the Savages to leave. Reverend Romano, the mayor of Agua Dulce tells the Savages they will keep Zero to let them know how serious they are. As they leave, Deputy Joe Bob shoves Rachel along with them. Rachel says to Pigiron "Take me with you!", Pigiron asks "You think you're good enough to hang with me?", she replies "I can suck start a Harley". Pigiron lets Rachel come with them. The next day, Rachel is riding with Pigiron, some of the Savages with him are giving Danny, Tick Rand's son and his girlfriend Fran a hard time and Danny stands up to them, They tie him up with a rope and drag Danny by a bike and attempt to rape Fran. Pigiron and Rachel are watching, Stryker comes to Danny and Fran's rescue. Pigiron tells Stryker it is personal now and he and Rachel ride off. Later on that night, outside the town in the desert, Rachel tells Pigiron she wants to see the town go down and Pigiron has a plan. Some of the Savages manage to steal some weapons, vehicles and a tank for the small Army base near by.
The Savages take over Agua Dulce, Rachel is riding with Pigiron in the tank. The Savages now have the town, but later on, Tick Rand, Katie, Danny, and a few of the townspeople start to fight back. Katie goes up to Pigiron and pretends to have an interest in him and causes Rachel to become jealous. Rachel fights with Katie and wounds her with a knife. Tick is killed by Pigiron and Stryker is out for blood. Stryker rides his motorcycle and throws a grenade into the tank and the tank starts to move. Rachel, sitting on the tank's missle launcher fells the tank moving and she is hanging on the launcher and she loses her grip and gets ran over by the tank, killing her.
