Luna (ルナ), Midori (ミドリ) and Mizuki (ミズキ) are three beautiful female ninja enemies in the 1993 Capcom arcade beat 'em up game The Punisher. They seem to be students and perhaps daughters of Misa and are sometimes referred to as "kunoichi sisters" (besides "ninja women/ladies/girls/chicks/bitches/vixens".).
Their game sprites are based on that of the master kunoichi Misa, but each of them has only a portion of her skills and moveset. All three have loose blonde hair but their costumes (and eyes) are color coded: Luna is red, Midori is green (her name actually means "Green" in Japanese), and Mizuki is blue. When defeated, they also drop rings with corresponding jewels (ruby, emerald, aquamarine). Their famous sexiness from the arcade version is removed in the censored home port version[1] where they also look the same in baggy green camo full-body suits. It has been speculated[2] they might have been inspired by (also blonde) Lady Tanaka's daughter from the 1989's film The Punisher.
Of all of them, Mizuki has gained a particularly large fan following (thus also "Mizuki sisters"). She was even inserted as a player character into some fan edit games like Ninja Gaiden ("Mizuki Ninden")[3] or Punisher World Warzone (addition pending as of 2020). There is also a mod for DOA6.[4]
