Erika Hernandez is a corrupt FBI agent from the 1999 film Complot. She is portrayed by Jessica Cristina.
FBI agent Erika Hernandez is part of an inside conspiracy to allow foreign adversaries to release a "Y2K" bug causing a total collapse of Puerto Rico's IT infrastructure. Hernandez is first seen at a party hosted by the Puerto Rican government in honor of the Spanish Minister of Defense along with the island's FBI director. She accompanies the female protagonist, a fellow FBI agent not part of the conspiracy, to meet with a mysterious villain that is blackmailing her in exchange for information regarding the release of the bug. A member of the government's Special Espionage Corruption Task Operation Resource (S.E.C.T.O.R) trying to foil the plot spies on the meeting and after accidentally making noise, Hernandez takes out her firearm in defense and calls for backup. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent releases a smoke bomb and manages to escape along with other party attendees as smoke fills the building.
Hernandez and other FBI agents meet with the director to find out who was responsible for the events of the previous evening. Meanwhile, S.E.C.T.O.R agents now suspecting foul involvement by FBI agents, sneak into the FBI building to gather more intelligence. As one of the S.E.C.T.O.R. agents is interrogated by a male FBI agent, Hernandez appears and asks what is going on. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent overpowers the male agent and Hernandez once again takes out her firearm and enters into a standoff with the S.E.C.T.O.R. agent holding the male agent hostage. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent manages to escape and Hernandez and other agents chase him to the building's rooftop. After exchanging fire, the S.E.C.T.O.R. agent jumps off the building into a scaffolding, escaping Hernandez and the other agents.
Hernandez and other FBI agents trace the whereabouts of the S.E.C.T.O.R. agent back to a hotel room where he is staying along with the female protagonist who has fallen for him. Hernandez and the other agents break into his room and initially found it empty; however, the S.E.C.T.O.R. agent emerges from a closet, pushes Hernandez onto the bed and during the struggle, a shot a fired from Hernandez's pistol that accidentally kills another FBI agent. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent then punches Hernandez, knocking her out on the bed. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent and the female protagonist escape the room but are then caught by other FBI agents at the hotel entrance.
The S.E.C.T.O.R. agent and the female protagonist are taken by Hernandez and other FBI agents to a remote island to meet with the mysterious figure from the party. Meanwhile, other S.E.C.T.O.R. agents show up in an abandoned warehouse and start taking out FBI agents. The mysterious figure orders Hernandez to go and take care of them. As a male S.E.C.T.O.R. agent and a Naval aviator that was being held hostage but escaped roam the warehouse, Hernandez knocks the Naval aviator out and holds them both a gunpoint while toying with both, lamenting having to kill them for not behaving well. After admitting to killing one of the S.E.C.T.O.R. agents offscreen at the beginning of the movie, Hernandez laughs manically. As the Naval aviator reaches for a rifle on the ground, Hernandez tries to stop him but she enters into a struggle with the other agent who manages to knock her pistol out of her hands. Recognizing her fate, Hernandez yells at both as not regretting killing their friend. The S.E.C.T.O.R. agents takes the rifle out of the Naval aviator's hands, cocks it, and shoots Hernandez. She lurches forward momentarily but then falls back as a result of the fatal wound.
