Emma Gretsle is a secondary antagonist in Mike Hammershlammer's "My Gun is the Jury!", the first story of the first issue of the 1954 comic book "Panic". The story is a spoof of Mickey Spillane's "Mike Hammer" character, and the title of his first two novels, "I, the Jury" and "My Gun is Quick".
According to private detective Mike Hammershlammer (who is in fact, female), Emma Gretsle poisoned her own husband, who also happened to be the protagonist's friend. The villainess offers to form an alliance with Mike and moves in to kiss her, but as she does, the detective shoots a bullet into her heart.
Mike later learns that Mildred, along with Sadie Macintosh and Mildred Muckle, was part of a stolen car racket led by the story's main antagonist, Stella.
