Elsbeth King (Molly Hagan) is a villainess from "The Bone That Blew," episode 4.11 of Bones (airdate November 26, 2008). She is the wife of wealthy Richard King, and the mother of their children, Royce and Alexa.
It was later revealed that Elsbeth was a villainous conspirator in the murder of their manny, Calvin Warren; a murder that was committed by 11-year-old Alexa. Alexa shot Calvin to death when he threatened to expose her academic cheating to her school, using Richard's shotgun to commit the murder. After arriving and seeing what her daughter had done, the evil Elsbeth ordered Alexa to help her take Calvin's body to the country house, where she doused it with petrol and set it ablaze. Richard was suspected of the murder, but suspicion later turned to Elsbeth after details revealed that Calvin's body was dragged and the person who did the dragging was approximately 5'5".
Elsbeth was interrogated by Seeley Booth, and it was there that the villainess attempted to confess to Calvin's murder, stating that she was protecting her family. However, a further investigation revealed that the killer was significantly shorter than Elsbeth, and it led to Alexa being revealed as Calvin's killer. Alexa boldly and callously confessed to killing Calvin, while Elsbeth admitted to covering up for her daughter, with Richard being shocked at both confessions. Elsbeth was arrested as an accessory to Calvin's murder.
