Eleanor was the villainess from "Treasure", a episode from the first season of "Swamp Thing". She was portrayed by Cynthia Garris.
Summary[]
Prior to the episode, Buckholt, a man seeking to woo Eleanor, had stolen a suitcase full worth of money "because he couldn't afford her". However, he would decide against giving it to her, ultimately stashing it around the swamp where Swamp Thing resides.
At the beginning, Swamp Thing senses & finds the briefcase. At the same time, Buckholt arrives to ST's friend Jim's house(Buckholt's childhood home) to hide, where he ultimately collapses due to heart failure. Before being taken away in the ambulance, Buckholt tells Jim where to find the money & their exchange is witnessed by Eleanor. She pretends to be a reporter to get Buckholt's last words, but her greed leads her to quickly breaks] character & demand the cash. However, with the neighbors, authorities, & Jim's mother Tressa present & inquiring, she quickly got out of sight.
Later, Eleanor picks the front door lock & heads to Jim's room. There, she threatens the boy at gunpoint for the money. As she happens to have a mantra against harming minors, she then asks, "But your mom's over 21, right?" . When she appears to make a move towards the attic (where Swamp Thing is hiding), Jim gives up the location. At that moment, Tressa comes in the door, startling Eleanor, leading her to accidentally let off a shot, hitting Tressa between her chest and rib area(Swamp Thing ends up healing her of the wound). Eleanor flees the scene.
At episode's end, we see Eleanor locate the swamp area &, after scaring off a mutant pig-man, locate the briefcase. She sets her purse & pistol down to inspect, only to find it full of swamp gunk & bugs. By this point, the pig-man, likely an experiment of Dr. Arcane(Swamp Thing's nemesis), gets possession of Eleanor's pistol and fires a shot into her side, killing her.
