The Female Villains Wiki

Elana is the main villainess of the epic fantasy novel Warrior of the Altaii, written by Robert Jordan. She is one of the twin Queens of Lanta, hence her formal title of Queen Elana of Lanta, alongside her sister; Eilinn. After Wulfgar insults the Twin Queens, and Elana learns he is of Altaii, she makes it her mission to capture him, enslave him, and break his spirit so that he becomes a willing slave of his. However, Wulfgar is able to escape her captivity, which makes Elana order the execution of Wulfgar's closest friend; Prince Harald. This action enrages both Wulfgar and Harald's father, King Bohemund, and the two work together to go after Elana. Wulfgar first captures and enslaves Elana's sister Eilinn, before hunting down Elana, who tries to flee. After convincing the mercenaries that Elana hired to protect her to leave, Wulfgar pursues the fleeing Elana, and then brings her before King Bohemund. Elana begs for her life, and although Bohemund wants to kill her, Wulfgar convinces the King to instead subject Elana to a life in chains. King Bohemund begrudgingly agrees to Wulfgar's terms, and the miserable Elana is carried off on one of Bohemund's donkeys, where she spends, presumably, the rest of her life in chains.
