Diana Hart Smith is a member of the prestigious Hart wrestling family, and the wife of the late British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith. She is best known for her appearances as a villainess in WWE.
Diana's most known appearance on WWE programming was her very first--at the 1992 SummerSlam event at Wembley Stadium. She was in attendance as her husband, the British Bulldog, defeated her brother, Bret Hart, to capture the Intercontinental Championship, and she embraced both men after their match. Diana was also shown with her husband in attendance at SummerSlam two years later, as she watched her brothers, Bret and Owen (the latter being Diana's only younger sibling), face off in a steel cage match for Bret's WWF Championship.
Diana turned heel in 1995, when she followed suit with her husband's heel turn and alignment with the villainous Camp Cornette faction, led by Jim Cornette and also containing Owen Hart. Davey Boy's swerve was motivated by his pursuit of the WWF Championship, held by Bret Hart at the time, and it was at In Your House: Season's Beatings that Diana accompanied her husband to his title match, which Bret ended up winning. After Shawn Michaels defeated Bret for the title at WrestleMania XII, the Bulldog feuded with Michaels, and it included Diana making a claim that Michaels sexually assaulted her. On an edition of Raw, the evil Diana delivered a slap to Michaels to continue the angle, and she would accompany her husband to a pair of title bouts against Michaels: a draw at In Your House: Beware of Dog, and a loss to Michaels at the 1996 King of the Ring event. The angle ended afterwards, but Diana continued acting as a villainess when she became part of the Hart Foundation, as she accompanied the faction to their victorious outing against a team led by Stone Cold Steve Austin at In Your House: Canadian Stampede.
At WrestleMania 26, Diana made her first appearance on WWE TV in a storyline capacity in nearly 13 years, doing so as part of Bret Hart's grudge match against Vince McMahon. She was introduced as one of the lumberjacks paid by McMahon, originally establishing Diana as a villainess. Diana was one of a number of members of the Hart family who appeared as lumberjacks, which included (but weren't limited to) The Hart Dynasty, consisting of David Hart Smith (Diana's son), Natalya (Diana's niece), and Tyson Kidd. The family was paid to cost Bret at the event, but Bret revealed that they had known about the plan and that they came together against McMahon, resulting in Bret defeating McMahon via submission.
