Dana (Ellen Hollman) is a henchwoman in the 2020 post-apocalyptic adventure film Love and Monsters. She is one of Cap`s minions, the film main antagonist. She fights Joel and Aimee during the movie third act. She wields a homemade handcannon.
Role in the film[]
Dana first appears at the settlement of elderly survivors watched over by Aimee, Joel's girlfriend. Dana puts on faux affable façades to manipulate the colonists into gaining her trust, although Joel has suspicions. Later, Cap gives the colonists berries, which Joel recognizes as poisonous. Joel rushes to warn Aimee, but Dana knocks him unconscious.
Once everyone wakes up, the colonists, Joel, and Aimee have been tied up. Cap reveals his true intentions before using electricity to awake the crab to eat the colonists. Joel and Aimee manage to escape their restraints. Aimee attempts to fight Dana while Joel distracts the crab. Joel's dog Boy arrives to help, and Cap orders Dana to shoot the dog. Aimee knocks down Rocko and Dana, but Cap knocks out Aimee and orders his goons to flee with the supplies they got. As Dana flees to the yacht on a speedboat, the crab overwhelms Joel and grabs him with its claw. Boy's licks wake up Aimee who throws Dana's gun at Joel to shoot the crab. But looking into the crab's eyes, Joel realizes it was not malicious, rather just a sacred tortured animal. Thus he shoots the chain instead, freeing the crab from Cap's control.
Dana looks in horror as the freed crab swims towards their boat, then crawls towards it. The giant crab grabs her with one of its tong. She tries to free herself, but screams as the crab eats her alive, as Cap and Rocko watch in horror.
