The greedy Dahlia

Dahlia (Kate Micucci) is the villainess of "All Paws on Deck", episode 1.03 of Be Cool, Scooby Doo! (airdate October 7, 2015). She worked as a divemaster on the S.S. Casey, which was captained by Fred Jones' cousin, Scott McDoon. She worked alongside fellow diver Thorn, spending much of their time giving diving tours of Bribary Bay.

But secretly, Dahlia and Thorn were using their jobs on the cruise ship to steal valuable treasure from sunken ships. To keep anyone else from interfering with their greedy deeds, the two began disguising themselves as sea monsters from a popular myth about Bribary Bay to scare tourists away. The villainous duo also sabotaged a turbine of the boat in order to make it appear that they were abducted by the creatures to buy themselves time to hide their ill-gotten loot.

When the Scooby gang began to investigate the creature attacks and discovered evidence to their scheme, including the wrench they used to disable the ship turbine, one of the evil thieves attacked the gang, which nearly resulted in them drowning when they poked holes in the upgraded Mysterious Machine. Later, both Thorn and Dahlia teamed up to attack the gang again when they tried to capture them, but were ultimately defeated when Velma trapped them using a crane. Dahlia and Thorn were unmasked and their self-serving motivation was revealed by the mystery solvers. Dahlia was presumably arrested along with Thorn.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Dahlia was the first villainess of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
  • Ironically, Kate Micucci also provided the voice of Velma Dinkley. She also portrayed the evil Jane in the 2014 comedy short Werewolves.
