Corrine Madrid (Virginia Vale) is the hidden secondary villainess of "The Mystery of the Terminal Tenant," episode 1.05 of The Mysteries of Laura (airdate October 15, 2014). She was the girlfriend of Cody Roberts, a drug dealer working under a notorious and ruthless crystal meth queenpin known only as Jimmy. When he decided he wanted to escape from her stranglehold, Corrine helped him in his plot to fake his own death.
To do so, the couple found loner Mark Harris on a home exchange website, with Corrine becoming Mark's girlfriend to learn more about him so Cody could take over his identity. Once they had everything they needed, Mark was lured to Cody and Corrine's home, where the former of the pair killed him and placed his body in their bathtub, along with dissolving the corpse in acid to make him unidentifiable. Additionally, the conspirator used her position at Mark's dentist's office to switch out his records with her boyfriend's.
When the villainous lovers first encountered Laura Diamond and her partner Billy Soto, the two claimed that they had been renting their home out to Cody, making it appear that Jimmy had him killed in retaliation for trying to leave her business. However, Corrine and Cody's machinations began to unravel when Laura took notice of the former's stutter while he was pointing Jimmy out in a lineup—a detail that she was informed of by one of his clients. She also realized Corrine's involvement in the twisted scheme when she saw that she worked with Mark's dentist Dr. Chang, having been given a pamphlet by him (when he came in to give the detectives Mark's dental records) which had Corrine's photo in it. Soon after that, Corrine was surrounded by the police as she and Cody left a store; they had been going to a series of ATMs to steal money from Mark's elderly neighbor Lillian Greenberg, who discovered his remains earlier. Caught, they calmly surrendered and were arrested offscreen.
