Corazon (Renee Victor) is the hidden tertiary villainess of "No Opportunity Necessary", episode 1.08 of Women's Murder Club (airdate November 23, 2007). She was a well-known local bruja (Spanish for "witch"), living in the Mission District, which was highly populated by immigrants. Corazon had many frequent clients in the community, earning the trust of many living in the district.
One of Corazon's clients was Nivaldo Quiroga, who bought a charm from Corazon to increase the money he and his son Javier had been saving up ($5,000). Unbeknownst to Nivaldo, however, Corazon was the head of a villainous robbery ring, having had her sons regularly rob her clients after learning about any valuables they had. Corazon's sons pulled their same scheme on Nivaldo and Javier, with the robbery leaving Javier dead and Nivaldo injured.
Corazon was questioned by Lindsay Boxer and Tom Hogan at her store, telling them about her business with Nivaldo and Javier and keeping her greedy heel persona hidden. Later on, though, Nivaldo learned Corazon's secret and went to her store with a gun, planning to kill her in revenge for having caused his son's death. Lindsay arrived at the store along with Warren Jacobi and other officers, forcing Corazon's sons to surrender before moving to confront Nivaldo, who was holding Corazon at gunpoint. After Corazon unsuccessfully tried to claim innocence, Lindsay managed to convince Nivaldo to surrender, placing Corazon under arrest immediately afterwards.
