Cloud Empress (The Great Devil Emperor Development System)

Cloud Empress is the proud leader & cultivation master of the sky based Shuiyun sect. She maliciously attempts to kill the Demon Emperor to take the control of his empire, but is humiliated in her effort. One-off antagonist that appeared in Chinese manhua The Great Devil Emperor Development System (大魔皇的日常烦恼) issues 58-61.

Story[]

When the human race rose, they bullied the ancient Demon Emperor and invaded his lands. The Demon Emperor finally passed away in depression. The new Demon Emperor, Xiao Ting, retreated in anger and went into a dormant state. He arose in the present to rebuild the demon empire, reclaiming lands stolen by humans. The harsh, but just Demon Emperor repeatedly fights off powerful humans who invade the demon empire, underestimating his power.

The haughty Cloud Empress rules the sky-based Shuiyun sect. She plots to take control demon empire by killing the Demon Emperor and any who fight with him. She believes demons an inferior race and with her cultivation scale of 150 there is nothing to fear from a 120 scale Demon Emperor. The Cloud Empress and her all-female soldiers (Amazonian like) arrive though a portal in the sky over the demon palace and maliciously attack (“Die demon scum!”). Her water-based energy powers don’t phase the Demon Emperor and he effortlessly takes her down with a powerful force blast. Badly injured, she grasps she is significantly outclassed in cultivation power.

The Cloud Empress exposes her sect’s sacred magic artifact, the Water Cloud Pearl, which has the power to instantly heal her. With the artifact she is immortal and undying. Believing this gives her the upper hand, she arrogantly demands the Demon Emperor give up his resistance. Without hesitation, the Demon Emperor low-blow, sucker punches the Cloud Empress. His close combat attacks continue, and though artifact repeatedly heals her, she’s helpless against the grueling onslaught.

The Demon Emperor shows no mercy. He wants to see how much punishment Cloud Empress can take to test the limits of the Water Cloud Pearl’s power. He performs multiple lethal attacks on her (choking, poison, broken neck, etc) and she immediately resurrects each time. The Demon Emperor draws his sword to chop her up to see what happens. Believing this may kill her for good, the Cloud Empress begs for mercy and surrenders. As a final humiliation, the Demon Emperor demands she hand over her Water Cloud Pearl, which he renames the Demon Pearl right in front of her. She flies away in disgrace with her soldiers, never to return
