Cindy (Georgina Reilly) is the villainess of "Crashing on the Couch", episode 2.07 of Republic of Doyle (airdate February 23, 2011). She was the receptionist of psyciatrist Dr. Jennifer Sullivan, who was married to author Calvin Sullivan.
Cindy was also revealed as a psychotic stalker, as she had developed an obsession for Calvin, likely taking the receptionist job for Jennifer to get close to him. After learning that Jennifer had had an affair with patient Joe Otis, Cindy began making attempts on Jennifer's life, wanting to have Calvin to herself. Calvin reported the threats to private detectives Jake and Malachy Doyle, who arrived at a function where Jennifer collapsed from having been drugged by Cindy with an LSD-like substance.
Over the course of their investigation, Jake and Malachy learned about Jennifer's affair as well as the affair that Calvin had previously had with Dr. Ellen Grekorvreskinkov (who was really a flunked out medical school student posing as Grekorvreskinkov, who had died in a car crash), leading her to drug her as well. Cindy also created a malfunction in an electrical outlet in Jennifer's office, hoping that it would electrocute her to death (though the shock ultimately got Jake instead and proved to be non-fatal). Cindy's true nature was hinted at when she caught Jake searching through her desk, hurriedly taking her copy of Calvin's book from him when she stated that it was what she'd come back to the office for.
Cindy's villainous reveal came when Jake looked inside the copy of Calvin's book, Body Language, with a message from Calvin and photographs of Calvin and Jennifer that Cindy pasted her own image onto over Jennifer's revealing her infatuation with Calvin. After seeing that Cindy had called Calvin an hour prior, Jake and Malachy found Cindy with Jennifer and Calvin in another part of the office, the psychotic villainess having taped Jennifer to a chair and holding her hostage with a pair of live electrical wires. As Calvin pleaded with Cindy not to hurt Jennifer, Cindy forced Jennifer to confess to her affair with Joe, angrily screaming for Jennifer to shut up when she blasted Calvin for his own dalliances. After being spotted by Cindy, Jake (with Jennifer's help) goaded Calvin into playing into Cindy's delusion, convincing Cindy that Calvin loved her and wanted to run away with her. But when Calvin asked Cindy to let his wife go, the evil Cindy angrily claimed that she was his wife now before attempting to electrocute Jennifer, with Jake stopping her by pulling on the electric cables as Malachy was unplugging them. Cindy was later handcuffed and placed under arrest.
