Christa Pullman (Christina Cox) is the main villainess from "Art Imitating Art", a fourth season episode of Elementary. She is the villainous district attorney who helped put away Lewis Bowman for the murder of Marissa Kagan.

However, it was revealed that Christa was cheating on her wife, Terri, with Marissa, and it was actually Terri who killed Marissa when she found out. Once Christa learned what Terri had done, she covered up the crime and hired Zoe Mercado to work on Marissa's body, knowing that Zoe is a "dry labber"; someone who fudges reports to make sure the police arrest who they believe committed the murder. As a result of Christa's scheme, Bowman was arrested and convicted in Marissa's murder.

Later on, Phoebe Elliott showed Christa a selfie that she took which showed Bowman in the picture; which proved that Bowman was innocent in Marissa's murder. Knowing that the evidence would exonerate Bowman, Christa doctored the photo; doing so by removing Bowman from the selfie. After that, the evil Christa drove up to a nearby gym and shot Phoebe to death, continuing to cover for Terri, who later attempted to take the fall for Phoebe's murder. Following Terri's confession, Christa was interrogated (on-screen) and arrested (off-screen) for Phoebe's murder, among other crimes that she committed.

Trivia[]

  • Christina Cox famously appeared as the villainous Zoey Kruger in a fourth season episode of Dexter.
  • Christina Cox also appeared as Anne Marie Ostenbach on Bones, Maggie Finch on Castle, Susan Ballin on Motive, Jeanette Grayson in Taken Too Far, Deborah Wilson in Hailey Dean Mystery: A Marriage Made for Murder, and Rhonda Chalmers in Lethal Soccer Mom.
  • Christa Pullman shares similarities with Rizzoli & Isles villainess Claire Koneff Deluth, as both were part of villainous couples who were engaged in illegal activities, and both women also murdered people who went to them for help exposing the wrongdoings (with each victim unaware of the wife's heel persona). One small difference is that Claire's murderous act was committed via sabotage; Christa directly killed her victim.
