Catherine Buxton or Lady Scott (Alison Doody) is one of the main antagonists of the Indian movie, "RRR" (2022).
History[]
In 1920, during the British Raj, administrator Scott Buxton and his wife Catherine visit a forest in Adilabad, where they abduct Malli, a young girl with a talent for artistry from the Gond tribe. When the girl's panicked mother tries to stop them, she is ruthlessly beaten. Catherine Buxton (Alison Doody) shows nothing but annoyance and near-boredom when the tearful mother desperately pleads to get her daughter back. The tribe responds by sending their protector, Komaram Bheem, to retrieve her.
Catherine Buxton and her husband Governor Scott gets wind that someone is after them, so the evil lady offer a promotion to any police officer who can identify and catch Bheem. The man who volunteers is Rama Raju, an insanely lethal fighter who eventually reveals a personal reason for his desire to get ahead. But unfortunately for the wicked Brits, the two men have a chance encounter when both spot a young boy in danger and join forces to rescue him, and a friendship develops, although Bheem has no clue Raju is hunting him down, and Raju doesn't realize Bheem is the man he's seeking. Torn between his duty and his friendship, Raju will end up capturing Bheem alive, when he had just entered the Scott residence by force. Sadistic and cruel, Lady Scott rejoices to see their prisoner whipped and tortured in public as punishment.
At Bheem's public flogging, Catherine Buxton complains of not seeing enough blood, proof of her sadism and cruelty. That's why she forced Ram to use a barbed whip on Bheem during his public flogging. Resisting his injuries, Bheem sings in defiance, which incites an assembled crowd into rebelling. The riot further enlightens Raju, who finally realizes the recklessness of his actions. Determined to save his friend, he persuades Scott to secretly execute Bheem whilst preparing an ambush to save him ; nevertheless, Scott deduces his plot. Whilst managing to rescue Malli from Scott's men, Raju is grievously injured. Bheem, who had simultaneously managed to free himself, mistakenly interprets Raju's actions as an attempt to kill Malli; he bludgeons him before escaping with her.
Months later, Bheem, who had escaped with Malli to Hathras, is cornered by the colonial authorities; he narrowly avoids being exposed when Sita, Raju's fiancée, repels them by claiming of a smallpox epidemic as a pretext. Unaware of Bheem's identity, she reveals Raju's actual, anti-colonial objectives and of his impending execution. Crestfallen upon realizing his own folly, Bheem vows to save him. With the assistance of a sympathetic Jenny, Bheem infiltrates the barracks where Raju is detained and frees him, alerting multiple soldiers in the process. Defeating them, the pair retreat to a nearby forest, where they decimate more soldiers with the use of a longbow taken from a Ram shrine. Taking the fight to Scott, the pair hurl a flaming motorcycle into the barracks' ammunition magazine, which ignites. The subsequent explosion kills many in Scott's company, including Catherine. She suffers a karmic death, being killed by the explosion that flings her into a tangle of barbed wire. Ironically, It is doubtful that this time she enjoyed seeing a pool of blood drain from her lacerated body.
