Cassie (Merissa Porter) plays the second antagonist and right hand of the main antagonist in "He Who Dares: Downing Street Siege"

She is a cold killer and in one scene of the movie, she has a short fight with the hero of a film, resulting in her neck being slashed and she falls over dead.

Background[]

Not much is known about Cassie's history prior to appearing in He Who Dares: Downing Street Siege. However, it is revealed that Lilya, from the first movie, was her sister. It is possible that Cassie joined Alexander Holt's crew as a way to get revenge on Christopher Lowe for the death of her sister.

In He Who Dares: Downing Street Siege[]

Planning The Siege[]

Cassie first appears after Holt shoots one of his contacts. She smirks at the man's dead body before leaning over him and taking his Downing Street key card from his pocket. Cassie asks Holt to once again go over their plan and seems quite happy about the idea of making off with millions of pounds after their heist. She flirts with Holt, teasing him before finally giving him the key card and walking away, pleased with herself.

Later, Cassie stands beside Holt as he gives a speech to his men in preparation for their siege on Downing Street. She barely hides a smirk when Holt murders one of his men for asking an insolent question and stoically supports her accomplices as they prepare to take the most important building in the country.

Taking Downing Street[]

The next day, Cassie and Holt wait outside 10 Downing Street, taking cover in the mobs of protestors as the Prime Minister arrives. Thanks to their men on the inside, the two terrorists are able to easily open the gate and waltz onto the property. Striding alongside Holt, Cassie nonchalantly shoots and kills two guards as they reach the front door. Ever the showman, Holt blows the front door off its hinges with a bomb, covering them both in dust and debris. Exasperated, Cassie asks if the explosion was really necessary as she wipes the dust off of herself and follows Holt inside.

Once inside the building, Holt and Cassie take in their surroundings in awe. Holt remarks that the place is "like the TARDIS," to which Cassie naively responds "I've never been there," earning her a sideways glance from her lover. The two make their way to the outside of the building's safe room, where the Prime Minister is waiting out their attack. They playfully tease the Prime Minister through the security camera posted beside the door, eventually revealing that they have the key card that will let them in. Cassie playfully waves at the camera before walking inside.

Inside the safe room, Cassie bemusedly watches as Holt belittles the Prime Minister and makes his demands. She stands in frame as they send a transmission to the Prime Minister's associates, silently backing Holt up on his mission. She even punches the Prime Minister in the arm at one point, telling him to "man up."

Eventually, it comes to Cassie's attention that someone is killing their men within the building. She discovers that Christopher Lowe has infiltrated their perimeter and is slowly working his way through the intruders. Holt sends her to find and kill Lowe, but she finds herself too late to keep him from freeing the hostages, cursing as she finds only loose zipties and a dead guard.

She and Holt meet one last time, with Cassie attempting convince him that everything is going to be okay. Holt loses his cool, shouting at Cassie and demanding that she not come back until Lowe is dead. Once again, she goes in search of the assailant.

Final Fight And Death[]

Cassie manages to track Lowe down to an empty sub-level, firing on him from behind a pillar. She misses and the two exchange fire, with Lowe eventually shooting the gun out of Cassie's hands. She takes cover once more, but eventually steps into the open, silently challenging her opponent to a barehanded fight. Lowe accepts the challenge, tossing his own gun aside and approaching the henchwoman.

Cassie immediately gets the upper hand, knocking Lowe back with a powerful kick. Amused with her success, Cassie steps back and unzips her leather jacket, revealing her sports bra and bare stomach underneath. Tossing her jacket to the side, she pulls a knife on Lowe, evidently no longer interested in a fair fight.

Lowe fights Cassie, and though he manages to land a few hits, including one that knocks the knife from her hands, he is eventually knocked to the ground by his more skilled opponent. Cassie relishes her victory, not realizing that her opponent has secretly retrieved her knife. "That's for my sister," the henchwoman taunts, going in for the kill. As she attacks, Lowe swings the knife upward, catching Cassie mid-blow and slicing open her jugular.

Cassie lets out a shrill gasp, shocked and in pain at Lowe's killing move. She quickly falls to her knees and clutches her throat, desperately trying to quell the bleeding, but it is to no avail. Lowe watches somewhat sympathetically as Cassie struggles to breathe, gradually begins to lose consciousness, and eventually falls face-forward onto the ground, dead. With Cassie's dead body strewn in the background, Lowe gathers her gun and some ammunition from her nearby jacket before leaving. A close-up shot reveals Cassie's corpse as she bleeds out onto the floor.

Later, Holt uses a security camera to catch a message that Lowe has written in blood on a wall in the sub-level reading "Knight takes queen. Your move!"

Personality[]

Cassie is just as sadistic and dangerous as her sister was, proving herself to be quite willing to kill without a hint of remorse. She even seems amused at times upon finding Holt's victims, indicating that she has an affinity for death.

While brutal and beautiful, Cassie does appear to get on Holt's nerves at times, with the two sometimes bickering over differing viewpoints. Holt even seems especially perturbed by her not getting his allusion to Doctor Who.

Appearance[]

Cassie is a tall, slender brunette, who wears tight leather pants and a corresponding leather jacket throughout the film. In her final scene, she removes the jacket to reveal her bare stomach.

Trivia[]

Cassie is evidently the sister of Lilya, Zara Phythian's character from the first film, who is killed after a similar fight with Christopher Lowe.
