In the year 2155, a dangerous force of villainy takes shape in the form of Cassandra Loren (Joan Van Ark), a former scientist experimenting with time travelling who decides to use it to travel to the past to make a huge fortune, regardless that changing the past could be disastrous for the future.
She is the main antagonist in the Wonder Woman episode Time Bomb.
Events[]
Cassandra is working on time-travel research with her partner Adam Clement, when she hatches the daring scheme of returning to 1970s America and using her knowledge of the future to make a fortune in investments.
She enters the time portal, but unfortunately Adam follows and tries to persuade her to think about what she is doing as her interference with the past would end up being disastrous for the future but the greedy and selfish Cassandra refuses to listen and declares she couldn't care less.
The Insider Trading Scheme would be bad enough, but her plan involves developing an alternative fuel, for which the 1970s hasn't the technology to develop safely which could result in the death of thousands of people.
Adam then contacts the IADC to help him stop her. Wonder Woman teams up with him and sets out on Cassandra's trail. Meanwhile, she has gone to Arizona with some corrupt CEOs to the mine where the dangerously radioactive ore for the fuel is to be mined. The crooks hire a team of assassins to take out Adam and Wonder Woman.
The heroes are captured and tied up in the mine. However, the goons don't realize that Diana is Wonder Woman---she changes to her superhero persona and overcomes the thugs. Meanwhile, the reactor overloads, sending a lethal atomic cloud towards Phoenix. Wonder Woman stops it with a counter-explosion and sends the corrupt CEOs into a state of amnesia to make them forget about their involvement with Cassandra.
Cassandra tries to escape on horseback but Wonder Woman follows and catches her with the golden lasso.
Cassandra's daring scheme comes to a humiliating end, as Adam arrests her and proceeds to take her back to the future for her punishment with the Board of Governors. A now handcuffed Cassandra begs to stay in the 20th century as she now sees nothing as boring as being back in the future. Using a hand held time travel device, Adam then sends himself and Cassandra back to the 22nd Century as Diana and her IADC fellow agent Steve Trevor watch.
He later sends Diana and Steve the handcuffs back and a note saying that the time portal has been replaced by a big screen that views images of selected time periods to prevent any further incidents. As for Cassandra, she is now imprisoned and going through a rehabilitation program.
