Caroline Subotic (Rebecca Gruss) was a villainess from "Green Birds," the second-ever episode of FBI (airdate October 2, 2018).
Caroline's backstory revealed that she had been raised solely by her mother, Renee, following the departure of Caroline's father. She was also unpopular at high school, as she was subject to bullying on many occasions, and some time before the events of the episode, Caroline went to a website after developing an interest in her father's Muslim background. The website was revealed to be known as "Dark Jihad," and it was used to recruit young girls to ISIS.
The mastermind of the scheme was notorious terrorist Khalid Barhom, and regarding Caroline, she participated under the promise of a better life in the Middle East. She was required to commit murderous acts as part of the initiation, and in the beginning of the episode, the evil Caroline entered a salad bar in Manhattan and sprayed a poisonous substance all over the area. As a result, eight people succumbed to the poisoning and died, and the mass murder brought FBI Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adom "OA" Zidan to the case.
Caroline was revealed when Maggie and OA spotted video of the villainess committing her act, and after learning that Caroline herself was poisoned, it was believed that she intentionally poisoned herself as part of a suicide mission. However, it was later revealed that the bottle she used was tainted by Barhom, as he had no plans to have Caroline survive her villainous mission. As revealed by Dana Mosier, Caroline died as a result of Barhom's poisoning.
