Carmilla (カーミラ) is a recurring major villainess throughout the horror-platforming video game series "Castlevania". As with most enemies in the series, she is not an entirely original character, but instead an adaptation of one; in this case, Carmilla from Sheridan Le Fanu's novel of the same name.
