Villainous mastermind Bubby

Bubby (Grey DeLisle) is the tertiary villainess of "Omelettes Are Forever", episode 2.17 of Be Cool, Scooby Doo! (airdate March 9, 2018). She was the villainous mastermind behind a plot to destroy breakfast. British Secret Service inventor Dillingsley, who was envious of the spies he worked for, acted as Bubby's hired henchman, disguising himself in a robotic suit and going by the alias "Minus".

The Scooby Gang encountered British secret agent Jenny Vex as she was doing battle with Minus/Dillingsley in an attempt to thwart Bubby's plan, and the gang worked to help stop Bubby's plans after Jenny was captured by Minus. But in the episode's climax, the Scooby Gang found themselves captured by Bubby's other henchmen and taken to her headquarters, where they were all strapped to tables.

At this moment, Bubby made her first on-screen appearance of the episode, with Fred being shocked to see that Bubby was an elderly woman. After Bubby brought out Jenny (who was also strapped to a table), Velma asked Bubby why (and how) she was trying to stop breakfast. Bubby went on to explain that she intended to use soundwave frequencies to stop breakfast foods from being grown, having stolen frequencies from the lab of Dr. Itsuki Himura to prevent chickens from laying eggs. As for her motivation, however, Bubby simply stated that her plans were motivated by "spite" before leaving the gang alone, setting her frequencies to be launched across the world from her "Jaminator 2000" in 9 minutes and 22 seconds.

However, Fred was able to break free from his restraints using Jenny's high power magnet (which was disguised as a harmonica), getting free right as Bubby returned to tell Velma her real motivation for her plot. After securing his friends, Fred managed to shut down the Jaminator, even as Bubby sent Minus to stop him. The Jaminator subsequently exploded and Bubby and Minus were trapped in the sticky jam. After Minus was unmasked as Dillingsley, he and Bubby were placed under arrest along with Bubby's previously captured henchmen.

  • Grey DeLisle is perhaps best known for voicing evil babysitter Vicky on The Fairly OddParents, and she has also voiced Azula on Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mitzy on Johnny Bravo, and Tammy Jane from Brickleberry.
