Brooklyn Von Braun (Maya Rose Berko) is the main villainess in the career mode of the 2019 video game WWE 2K20.
She is first introduced as the high school bully of protagonist characters Red (female) and Tre (male), and is an excellent athlete who is the captain of the Fulton High School wrestling club.
Brooklyn is an incredibly cruel person, who takes great pleasure in making life as miserable as possible for Red and Tre. Her motivation for bullying them seems to be simply just for the enjoyment it gives her.
After leaving school, Brooklyn goes on to become a very rich, famous and successful MMA fighter. Whereas Red and Tre are training to become pro wrestlers, and hope to work for WWE one day. They eventually achieve their goal, but have to come face to face with their past, as Brooklyn decides she wants to give wrestling a shot. She joins WWE at the same time that Red and Tre are there, and continues her cruel vendetta against them through adulthood.
Some of Brooklyn's actions throughout the story mode are:
Before WWE[]
- In school, she puts Red in a submission hold and forces her to submit, Brooklyn then squirts Red with ketchup as the whole thing is recorded on camera.
- Interferes in one of Red’s early matches, causing her to lose.
- Gets Red’s phone number and regularly sends text and voice messages gloating about her success and mocking Red.
- She is cast with Tre in a movie role, which displeases her. So she interferes in a match between Tre and The Miz, with the lead role on the line, to try and stop Tre from keeping the part.
In WWE[]
- Joins the company in an authority role and enjoys the power trip of making life difficult for Red and Tre. This includes booking Red in an unfair match series that eventually causes Red to lose her championship.
- Files a lawsuit against retired wrestling legend Kurt Angle for his use of “The American Hero” nickname that Brooklyn uses, despite Angle using it first. Angle is forced to come back to active competition to pay for the lawsuit costs.
- Retires from her general manager role to become a wrestler; teaming with Tre in the mixed match tag team series. She has supposedly changed in personality and says she will teach Tre a way to avoid a submission hold that his future opponent Samoa Joe likes to do. Her lesson eventually turns out to be a useless trick, as Joe beats Tre and it turns out Brooklyn was on Joe’s side all along.
- Purchases an animal shelter, kicks out all of the animals, and then turns it into a tanning salon.
- She discovers that Red once wrote a letter to Tre in school pretending to be his birth parents, as Red didn’t think he could deal with the truth that they had died. Red had wanted to tell Tre the truth for years but never did, and Brooklyn blackmails Red into retiring or else she would tell Tre everything.
- After Red submits to Brooklyn's request (and Tre retires too), they are told they are both going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, much to Brooklyn’s annoyance. On the day of the ceremony Brooklyn cruelly reveals to Tre, in front of the large audience, that his birth parents are dead, and that Red wrote him the letter. This seemingly shatters their friendship.
- Tears up an important list of goals that Red and Tre made in school together that had got them this far in their careers so far.
- Teams with Samoa Joe to face Red and Tre at Wrestlemania. Red and Tre's Hall of Fame titles are on the line in this match. However, she and Joe are put in the humiliating situation of being put in their own submission holds by Red and Tre, and both tap out on the grandest stage of them all.
