Benita Ginn (Caitlin FitzGerald) is the main villainess from "After Hours," episode 1.10 of Blue Bloods (airdate December 3, 2010).
Backstory/Events[]
Benita Ginn is a nurse and the girlfriend of nightclub doorman Richard King, who was shot to death in the episode. During her interview with detective Jackie Curatola revealed that Benita and King were originally from North Carolina, having moved from there to New York three years prior. Their friendship became a romantic relationship once they reached Maryland, and they had been dating ever since then, with Benita adding that King's job as a doorman played a role in the couple being able to see each other. After Jackie revealed King's contact with someone called Lemon, Benita stated that Lemon was a British gangster who King owed $100,000 to, and asked Jackie if Lemon could have killed King because of the debt. In addition, Benita made another revelation: she was two months pregnant with King's baby.

Lemon ended up suspected, but he revealed that he was opening a new nightclub with King, which led to Sabrina Glick, the owner of the club King worked at (as well as detective Danny Reagan's former flame), being suspected. It was believed that Sabrina may have been angry over King leaving her and killed him out of spite and revenge, but while Sabrina revealed her bitterness towards King, a look at the video of King's murder revealed that the true target was actually Sabrina. Afterwards, Danny and Jackie went to Sabrina and asked for her romantic history, stating that an ex-boyfriend could have possibly attempted to kill her. This lead to Sabrina revealing that the only other man she was involved with was none other than King, and it led to another reveal: Benita was the true killer.
Benita's reveal was provided while she was confronted by Danny and Jackie in the episode's climax, as she was about to leave town. As it turned out, Benita was about to send her first sonogram to King, only to find his email page open and saw King's conversations with Sabrina, learning that they were seeing each other behind Benita's back. Benita turned heel afterwards and attempted to kill Sabrina, taking King's gun and heading to the nightclub that evening and firing her shot, which ricocheted and killed King instead. Her earlier attempt to suggest that Lemon killed King was to mask her scorned heel persona, and when asked by Jackie about how she got the gun, the evil Benita stated that King gave it to her for protection, after which Danny handcuffed and arrested the villainess.
